The ConSol team has worked hard to integrate Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) to strengthen the platform's security. The steps to set up MFA are as follows.
1: Depending on your operating system, download the Google Authenticator app from the Google Play Store (for Android) or the App Store (for iOS).
2: Visit the ConSol login page, enter your credentials, and click "Login." You will be redirected to the first-time authentication screen shown below.
3. Adding Your Authentication Code to Google Authenticator
There are two methods for adding your authentication code to Google Authenticator:
-
Method 1: Using a QR Code
As shown in Figure 3.1, to set up MFA with a QR code, follow these steps:- Open the Google Authenticator app.
- Tap the "Add Code" button or the "+" icon located at the bottom right corner.
- Select the "Scan QR Code" option.
- Scan the QR code generated by ConSol.
-
Method 2: Using a Secret Key
As shown in Figure 3.2, if you prefer to use a secret key for setup, follow these steps:- Open the Google Authenticator app.
- Tap the "Add Code" button or the "+" icon at the bottom right.
- Choose the "Enter Setup Key" option.
- Paste the secret key generated by ConSol into the "Your Key" field.
4: Once you've scanned the QR code, the Google Authenticator app will generate a 6-digit TOTP (Time-based one-time password) code that changes every 30 seconds. Enter this code into the "Authentication Code" field on your ConSol screen and click "Verify."
If you have lost access to your MFA code, you can find the help guide HERE to troubleshoot.
