ConSol Release Notes
Visual Changes:
The update will bring forward an exciting new visual makeover to ConSol without impacting navigation within ConSol. Users can expect to experience the following changes:
- A new default font used throughout ConSol
- Updated Quick Links for Before you Dig Australia and ConSol Mobile, and new Quick Link for Look Up and Live on the ConSol Home screen.
- New screen layouts and colours to improve clarity and readability for users
- Changes to the layout of the Attributes tab on the Update Contract screen (for users with the Commercial Contract Manager role)
- Improved controls on many data entry screens (ie better date pickers, improved search popups, explicit field IDs for RPA usage).
- Find Project View and Find Contract searches default to retrieving Active records.
- Existing milestone functionality has been disabled pending a rework to extend milestones to include order dependencies.
- My Details screen:
- Roles and workgroups are now displayed on a separate tab
- The Change Password button is now available at the bottom of the user details tab
- ConSol API documentation has been updated.
Single Sign-on:
- For companies using enterprise identity providers (e.g. Azure AD), ConSol can now be configured to allow Single-Sign-On, to both simplify the user experience and take advantage of more stringent security controls.
- Each company will have a specific icon on the login page to identify that access for their users may be subject to company Federation rules.
- Federation can be enforced (default) for all users within the company. Users requiring additional logins linked to the same verification email address will have these logins treated as un-federated and will follow the existing security access rules.
- Any companies wishing to utilise the new Single Sign-on functionality should contact our Support team for information on how to proceed. Depending on the Identity store being used, implementation and configuration costs may be incurred.
